That being said, although there are things that are beyond your control, there are things that you can do. One way to lessen LDL levels would be to be aware of what you eat. Your diet plays a crucial role here. Eat less fatty foods and red meat and eat more fruits and vegetables instead. High cholesterol isn’t the only thing you’ll end up worrying about if you eat unhealthy and keep gaining weight.
